One of my favorite ‘90s streetwear brands has always been Fila. My first pair of sneakers ever were a pair of fila sneakers. I remember it so clearly, I was 14 years old and I was seriously looking for a pair of cool sneakers to wear to school. It was a matter of life or death (as much as it can be for a 14-year-old) to find the coolest pair around. Of course, back then, there wasn’t any online shopping as there is now, and I couldn’t just simply search Fashiola for a pair of fila shoes online. So I took my mother to the nearby mall and we looked through maybe a million stores before I found the pair of fila sneakers for me.
You can imagine my excitement when I found out Fila is back, and is back for good! Fila remained under the fashion radar for a while there as it had to fight off sportswear giants like Nike, adidas and New Balance. But no longer! Oh no, we won’t have to miss our beloved Fila again! Today’s fila shoes styles differ quite a lot from what we used to wear back then (I sound about 100 years old now, don’t I?). Think about the Fila Disruptor, which is quite the contemporary style, if I may say so. Regardless of what fila will do now, next, or in 10 years, I have officially declared my love, and will forever more be held in their grip. I will always cherish Fila as my first sneaker love, their sneakers and their approach to streetwear.
I truly cannot wait to purchase my next pair of fila shoes onlinefor the next season!

A wardrobe must have: Fila Disruptor
Discover Fila’s newest model, which everyone has already been going absolutely crazy over. I’m not surprised it’s already sold out everywhere, so if you get the chance don’t hesitate and purchase a pair! The Fila Disruptor is a daddy sneaker style, it is a low model and you can purchase yours in black, white or black and white. I must admit I haven’t seen such a rush of excitement about a shoe like this ever since the Nike Air was launched, so that should tell you enough about the popularity of this sneaker.
Styling Fila sneakers for Everyday Looks
Here’s the thing about this pair of sneakers: it’s not for everybody. I admit I’m not the biggest fan (I’d rather have the old school designs from the ‘90s, surprise surprise), but I can imagine there are plenty of you who would drool over this design. It has a massive sole, and is quite broad, meaning your feet can look a little clumsy if it’s not styled right. So, this sneaker model is for the experimenters out there, the darers! Styling this contemporary style should be done using opposites, so style something masculine and hard with something feminine and soft. A casual dress looks fantastic, or try a pair of skinny jeans, a t-shirt and a blazer instead. The importance is to keep the rest of the look basic and to let the sneakers shine.
The Fila Sweatshirt
What’s a contemporary streetwear brand without a great selection of apparel too? Fila sweatshirts will be your go-to for a casual look this year, taking on athleisure like no other brand does. Streetwear has never been as popular as it is now, and so adding a few casual items to your wardrobe is simply a must. Style a fila sweatshirt with a denim skirt for a ‘90s throwback or keep it contemporary with a pair of tailored pants.
The Fila T Shirt
If you’re looking for a subtle way to use athleisure in your look because you’re not all about streetwear, wearing one of these fila t shirts is a great way to do so. Logos are the latest craze and wearing a fila t shirtwith a massive fila logo on it is all you need to participate in this trend. Wear it with a skinny jeans for a casual look, but try styling it with a midi skirt and a pair of ankle boots for a surprising look. This way you’re doing your streetwear part but you’re also keeping your look fresh and modern.
I cannot express with words how incredibly happy I am that fila is back into our lives and into our wardrobes. I cannot wait to find my pair of fila sneakers online and hold it in my hands after so many years!
